The introduction of a new version of the bill to resolve Puerto Rico’s debt crisis has been delayed for a day.  The text of the bill that the House Natural Resources Committee is working on with the Treasury Department is still going through additional revisions. The chair of the panel, Rep. Bishop (R-UT), said talks with the representatives from Treasury were ongoing.  The new bill is likely to re-emphasis creditor protections in Puerto Rico’s constitution as well as maintain language lowering the minimum wage below the federal mandatory minimum rate for some workers in the commonwealth.
