The CLLA Eastern Region Conference started with a Welcoming Party at the Chandelier Room, Hyatt Union Square New York. It was great to see everyone!

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2023
Breakfast was followed by the education sessions Cybersecurity, Privacy and Data Protection presented by Wanda Borges, Esq., Borges & Associates, LLC, Syosset, NY and Artificial Intelligence Usage and Ethics presented by Sue Chin, Esq., Borges & Associates, LLC, Syosset, NY; Hon. Elizabeth S. Stong, US Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of New York; and Conor A. Carman, Law Student/Intern, St. John’s University School of Law.

Following lunch, attendees witnessed the passing of the gavel to Chair Elect Joseph Molinaro and the swearing in of the new 2023-2024 Eastern Region Executive Council. Also honored was Wanda Borges, Esq., Borges & Associates, LLC, Syosset, NY, this years’ winner of the Warren Pinchuck Volunteer Service Award.

The afternoon continued with the education sessions The Role of AI in a Law Firm – The Do’s and Don’ts of CHATGBT, presented by Lisa Mirabile, Vertigo Media Group, Bohemia, NY and Streamlining Workflow, Improving Efficiency and Staying in Compliance in Your Law Firm Through Modern Technology presented by Chris Nall, Case Master Pro, Gainesville, FL; and Timothy Wan, Smith Carroad Wan & Parikh, PC, Smithtown, NY. The conference concluded with a networking reception and nightcap.
