The Uniform Law Commission (“ULC”) Committee to Create a Uniform Assignment for the Benefit of Creditor Act met on November 22nd and 23rd, 2024 to discuss the latest draft of the Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors Act which incorporates all revisions from the latest meetings held on September 9, 2024 and November 5, 2024. The CLLA observers, Wanda Borges, Marc Micelli and Austin Peiffer were present during that two-day meeting. Working with this latest draft, the Commission worked through the draft, page by page to accept any additional corrections or comments. This report will address the more salient points that were addressed during this meeting but is not a complete summary of the two day meeting.
