CLLA Eastern Region Conference attendees enjoyed networking at the Welcoming Party held in the Bowery Chandelier Room at the Hyatt Union Square.

Thursday, November 6

Attendees enjoyed and earned CLE/CEU credits from five educational programs on topics that benefited agencies, forwarders and attorneys alike. Topics included Artificial Intelligence and what it has to offer the industry, a discussion of how the current political and economic landscape will impact all three facets of the triadic system, and a discussion on future legislative changes that may impact collection agencies. A panel of bankruptcy judges discussed current issues, and there was a great discussion on civility, collegiality and ethics in communications.

Thank you to our Presenters, Sponsors, and Attendees at the recent 2025 CLLA Eastern Region Collections Conference! Held on November 5-6, 2025, at the beautiful Manhattan Penthouse in New York, your participation in this event was invaluable.

Under the theme “Beyond The Horizon: Preparing for the Future of the Collection Industry,” we addressed pressing issues impacting Creditors’ Rights Attorneys, Commercial Collection Agencies, and Law Lists. Together, we engaged in meaningful discussions about the future of our industry, including how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping collections, the impact of legislative trends (like the Rosenthal Effect), and insights into current bankruptcy issues from the bench (Behind the Gavel).

The conference also offered wonderful networking opportunities, fostering connections essential for collaboration and professional growth. Our luncheon program consisted of the presentation of the 2025 Warren Pinchuck Volunteer Service Award to Robert Ash, recognition to our sponsors, a message from CLLA President Richard Payne, the traditional passing of the gavel from William Thrush to newly installed Region Chair, Lauri Hudson and finally Lauri swearing in the 2025-2026 Eastern Region Officers and Executive Council Members.
